On November 24th, 2021, the CIA director, William J. Burns warns top Russian spies over their involvement in a Mysterious health incident known as "Havana Syndrome" which took place in 2017, will face consequences if they are behind this mysterious illness, he said - afflicting U.S diplomats and spies around the world, symptoms described, Buzzing, grinding metal, piercing squeals, or sonic attacks.
Victims felt bursts of sound and pressure that left them dizzy and racked with headaches. Caused them medically unfit.
Well, the statement that came after 4 years is quite strange, though, not directly blame anyone but the fact is why pointed Russia - particularly, during these 4 years multiple investigations across different administration were held but the U.S officials were unable to determine the cause of the unusual incident yet.
However, Moscow has previously denied such involvement but declined to comment since the statement issued from the Director CIA.
It was all started between December 30, 2016, and February 9, 2017, were three CIA officers reportedly working under diplomatic cover in Cuba had troubling sensations that seemed to leave serious injuries, victims described bombarded by waves of pressure in their heads.
The victims were examined by Douglas Smith, who oversaw a team, at the University of Pennsylvania, said, "None of us have ever encountered anything like this before." Washington experts were baffled by what they saw as an alarming threat, mysterious medical illness and espionage to involve American personnel overseas since the cold war.

After decades of hostility, the relation between Cuba and US was restored in 2015. But, only after two years, Havana Syndrome shut the embassy down. Initially, there was speculation that the Cuban government opposed to improving relations - might be responsible for deploying a kinda sonic weapon against the US.
However, another possibility has got flared up - one whose root linked with the Cold War. Science was the main focus of intense Super-Power rivalry during the Cold War.
The US spies held close monitoring on Soviets Scientific Research since World War II, a report by the US Defence Intelligence Agency in 1976 reveal that the US was concerned Soviets microwaves could be used to damage brain function or induce sound for psychological effect. "Their internal sound perception research has great potential for development into a system for disorienting or disrupting the behavior patterns of military or diplomatic personnel."
