India-Pakistan I Cold Start Doctrine

Is lockdown the only way to stop Covid-19 surge?

It's been two years or more now since the first case was reported in Wuhan, though it was enough time to understand the nature of this virus and admit the fact its nature will be long-lasting. The virus continuously affects the world and we've witnessed the so-called variants which came in the form of waves. Now, the world is influenced by the delta variant which is referred as the deadliest variant and experts believe it was highly transmissible.

Coming back to the main subject should lockdown be the only way to stop the spread of the novel virus? in the beginning, this seems the only solution to prevent the rapid number of infected cases across the national borders but as time passed it was convinced that it wasn't an effective strategy especially for those countries that fall under the developing phase.

Lockdown is only effective for a short-term strategy as the nature of the virus is long-lasting, there should be a long-range plan and organized strategies that should be based on proper analysis with concerns of doctors, high officials, and media officials.

The virus has not affected only a particular person or a country people from all walks of life are affected so to combat this deadly virus we should play a collective approach. It's not about a single institution's role.

Unfortunately, we live in a country where most people are not aware of the real facts not because they were illiterate they make the perception by seeing or convincing single wrong information.

Let's suppose I want to propagate the wrong information into the mind of the masses what should I do I can use social media platforms and published invalid information, what I can expect is people easily get the narrative of what I had said on those platforms without confirming the fact, forwarded messages are the best examples how the single information changed or influenced the mind of people although not every information is incorrect but the ratio is very few.
